Grapevine, TX | Take Back Your Health with Therapeutic Apheresis | Kotsanis Institute
Therapeutic Apheresis is a new and exciting treatment that is being offered at the Kotsanis Institute!
How does Apheresis Work? Blood is removed from the patient’s arm and passes through a series of special filters. The filter then removes toxic components that contribute to disease and removes pro-inflammatory proteins. Once the blood is filtered, the blood is then returned back to the patient through the opposite arm, simultaneously as it is being cleaned through the filters. The procedure is similar in function to dialysis.
Therapeutic Apheresis involves the removal of pathological factors such as: immune complexes, autoimmune antibodies, toxins including insecticides, pesticides, and heavy metals.
Who can benefit? Chronic infection (Chronic Lyme and Chronic Lyme-like Infections), MS, ALS, Alzheimer’s, Guillain-Barre, Myasthenia Gravis, and hyperlipidemia patients. Cancer patients may also benefit. In 2019 we will also be offering apheresis for children with Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS).
